Think of not of the cost, think of the value.

“I am sorry for the length of this letter, but I did not have the time to write a short one.”

Blaise Pascal

A short, concise letter which conveys a point in fewer words can be more valuable and can take much longer to craft than a longer, less direct letter.

Nota bene. This quote is often [mistakenly] attributed to Mark Twain.

Thought for the day 22nd of November

“See a penny, pick it up and all day long you’ll have good luck!”

If you picked up every penny you ever found, how much richer would you be by the end of your life?

If you find a penny twice a month and you live for 80 years, that’s almost £20 that you could earn!

Okay, you probably wouldn’t start picking them up until you were around 4 and at about 70 you would probably have to stop because of the strain on your back.

Also £20 really isn’t that much in a lifetime is it anyway? But still, its the thought that counts!

You can’t help feeling lucky when you find a penny can you, just a silly little practically valueless coin, but it can make all the difference, especially if you find two 🙂
