Thought for the day 7th of January

“Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty. Anyone who keeps learning stays young. The greatest thing in life is to keep your mind young.”

Henry Ford

Stuff and nonsense

Some old stuff and nonsense, to makes you think…

One fine day in the middle of the night,
Two dead men got up to fight.
Back to back they faced each other,
Drew their swords and shot each other.

One was blind and the other couldn’t see.
So they chose a dummy for a referee.
A blind man went to see fair play,
A dumb man went to shout “hooray!”

A paralysed donkey passing by,
Kicked the blind man in the eye.
Knocked him through a nine inch wall,
Into a dry ditch and drowned them all.

Stuff & nonsense

A deaf policeman heard the noise,
And came to arrest the two dead men.
If you don’t believe this story’s true,
Ask the blind man he saw it too!

A famous quote by Dr. Seuss kind of sums that up

“I like nonsense it wakes up the brain cells.” – Dr. Seuss

Very true isn’t it, it does wake your brain up – but why? Because of its absurdity/abnormality? That’s what I think, what about you?

Thought for the day 1st of October

As humans, in our lifetime, it is thought that on average we only  use around 10% of our brains storage space.

My question is, why did evolution make us that way?

It is not just more stuff to go wrong? Could it be that we are destined to live much longer in the future?
