A good philosopher questions everything.
Acceptance is ignorance.

Without questioning we would not be where we are today. Lets take the world in cave man day’s for example, they had a very 1D view of the world – survival, and that was about it. When people thought, actually thought about the world, it seemed flat, so they accepted it. A 2D view, choosing what appears correct, and assuming that it is.

Now I believe that we live in a 3D world, we question things to more of a degree, and hence have found out that the earth is not flat, but round. In the future who knows, but I don’t think that humanity have reached their full philosophical capacity just yet.

What are your thoughts on fate? Below are some details on what fate means, and some philosophical questions relating to it.

What is ‘Fate’

  • destiny: an event (or a course of events) that will inevitably happen in the future
  • destiny: the ultimate agency regarded as predetermining the course of events
  • Fate is the debut album by electronic music artist, Velvet Acid Christ.

Destiny

  • Destiny is basically what is destined to happen, what you will do, where you will do it, how when etc. the general idea is that this cannot be changed/altered
  • One form of destiny is the thought that before we are born, we make choices about our life and how it will be lived

Fate and Destiny what’s the difference?

  • “Our Destiny could be classified as our own personal Star.” - Your goal
  • “So Fate could be classified as our own personal Guardian.” – Helps you reach your goal

  • “You can’t believe in “destiny” without adding God or any other supernatural entities into the equation” – Wrong or right?
  • What do you think? Does religion influence views on destiny?

  • You may think that you have free will and you are making your own choices, but are you… really?

Science

  • Scientific research is always suggesting more and more that it is less the case of nurture, but more the case of nature, as your DNA is supposed to influence the way you live your life
  • In the future some scientists believe that it will be possible to tell what will happen in someone’s life, just form their DNA
  • What are your opinions on that?
